Ehrmann presents a yoghurt brand Mövenpick on the Russian market. Yoghurts under this brand appeared in Europe 20 years ago, now they are available in Russia.
The brand Mövenpick originated in 1948 in Zurich, Switzerland, when a hotelier’s son and businessman Uli Prager opened his first restaurant, where visitors could taste an exclusive ice cream. In 1958, there were already 8 restaurants under this brand in Switzerland; then the owner founded Mövenpick Group, which later expanded to Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts. In 2003, the ice cream business was acquired by Nestle.
In Russia, Mövenpick is primarily known for an assortment of ice cream, as well as coffee and chocolate. The Mövenpick hotel chain, which, according to the company’s representatives, attracts 75,000 Russians every year, is also popular enough. Now Mövenpick natural yoghurts, which have been produced for the European market since 1995, will be available in Russia.
Gernot Haak, CEO of Mövenpick Foods Licensing, says, “This is an important step for us, aimed at expanding the brand’s presence on a strategically important market. We believe that sophisticated Russian consumers will be happy about this product and appreciate it, as we do.”
According to Ehrmann, the packaging design is based on a European version, which has been greatly altered for Russia’s market. It was developed by a Swiss agency and adapted by Progression.
“We are pleased to present a great product, developed jointly with our colleagues from Switzerland. I appreciate our partnership with Mövenpick Foods Licensing and believe in the success of our cooperation,” commented James Dwyer, CEO of Ehrmann LLC.
According to the producers, yoghurts for Russia are presented in four flavors: Strawberry-Raspberry, peach-passion fruit, blueberry-black currant and raspberry-passionfruit. The price per 1 yoghurt will be 80 rubles ($1.21). The product is already available in major retail chains: Perekrestok, Alye Parusa, Sedmoy Kontinent, Metro, etc.
