In cooperation with Abrau-Durso Russian Wine House, a Moscow-based factory of Baskin Robbins developed and began releasing sorbets with Abrau-Durso Champagne Classic and Abrau-Durso Pink flavors.
Sorbets (French “sorbet”, from the Arabic “sherbet”) are enjoying a growing popularity among consumers, since they contain less calories and sugar than traditional ice cream and allow you to create a delicious flavor combination with the use of natural fruits and berries.
In restaurants, liquor is often added to dishes to give them a brighter taste. New sorbets by Baskin Robbins now have a delicate taste of the famous champagne Abrau-Durso, in harmony with fruit notes.
Agnessa Osipova, President of BRPI CJSC (Baskin Robbins), says, “Sorbets, edible ice, these are very interesting products that provide enough room for culinary creativity. Sorbets with champagne are rare in the restaurant cuisine. The first reviews of our consumers show that we have been able to reflect the refined taste and aroma of Abrau-Durso Champagne in our sorbets. We are pleased to partner with the legendary wine house.”
This is not the first project on cooperation with famous brands. In 2014, for the 75th anniversary of the VDNKh, the company released a collection of ice cream “VDNKh”. That ice cream became one of the exhibition’s hallmarks.
