The first kilograms of purified sodium bicarbonate were obtained at Sterlitamak Soda Plant on October 5, 1967. Today the orange-yellow pack of baking soda serves as the company’s symbol, being the most recognizable brand in Sterlitamak and Bashkiria. 85% of all Russian baking soda are made by Bashkir Soda Company.
Since the mid-1980s, the production of purified sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) in Sterlitamak has led the way in the country.
On December 9, 1974, the PBN workshop was awarded the State Quality Mark. In 1984, the Ministry of Chemical Industry of the USSR awarded it the title of the Best Shop in the Chemical Industry.
Sterlitamak soda is shipped to more than 30 countries. Its packaging packaging is registered as an international trademark in 19 countries.
Purified sodium bicarbonate, produced by Bashkir Soda Company, meets all safety and quality requirements, established by European legislation, and is certified in accordance with the FEMAS.
Sodium bicarbonate is widely used in baking, production of drinks, as well as in the manufacture of medicines, pharmaceuticals, textiles, the chemical industry, agriculture and metallurgy.
At present the production of purified sodium bicarbonate is undergoing major reconstruction. The company has implemented a great program to modernize technological and packing equipment, warehouse and residential premises. This will lead to improved competitiveness and better presentation. The total amount of investments will reach 900 million rubles ($15.6 million).
