An international food manufacturer Nestlé is expanding its coffee factory in the town of Timashevsk, Krasnodar Krai, investing 1.5 bln rubles ($26.5 million) before the end of 2018, The DairyNews reports with a link to the company’s website.
The signing of a tripartite protocol of intent between the Krasnodar Krai Administration, the Timashevsky District Administration, and Nestlé Kuban LLC took place at the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi.
One of the key stages of this investment project is to restart a premium brand NESCAFÉ Gold, including global updates of recipes, design and form. Nestlé came to the Krasnodar Krai 13 years ago, constantly increasing the level of localization of its production. Nestlé Kuban is one of the largest investment projects of the global food manufacturer in Russia, confirming the company's commitment to the Russian market. Over the past 20 years its investments in Russia’s economy amounted to more than $2 bln.
Nestlé Kuban employs more than 1,100 people, it is one of Europe's largest full-cycle enterprises, producing instant coffee. Nestlé has 8 production sites in Russia, but the factory in the Krasnodar Krai became its first site built from from scratch. Following sustainable growth of the natural instant coffee market, Nestlé decided to invest in further development of its coffee factory in Timashevsk. In 2018, Nestlé will continue to invest in the production site.
