Wildberries switches to fulfillment by sellers (FBS) supplies, enabling online sellers to offer customers a virtually unlimited range of products, including a new fresh food category and express delivery.
Wildberries’ suppliers now can sell goods from their own warehouses on the online platform under the new FBS delivery scheme. Sellers receive information about buyers' orders in real time and ship goods to Wildberries' distribution centers.
Besides, in the near future sellers will be able to deliver orders to buyers directly, offering customers fresh food products, as well as express delivery on the same day.
Suppliers can apply FBS to their goods in all categories. The FBS scheme commission is 5% — this is the lowest amount of Wildberries' trading remuneration to date, its standard value is from 5 to 15%, depending on a product category.
At the moment, the FBS scheme is applied at Wildberries' largest logistics center in the village of Koledino near Moscow. In the future, the company plans to scale the project to other distribution centers.
“The new fulfillment by sellers supply model is to support Russian entrepreneurs in difficult times: thanks to low fees and the absence of preliminary deliveries to the company's warehouses, partners can significantly reduce their operating costs, increase sales and turnover, offer customers a much wider range of goods, including large-sized ones — electronics, household appliances, furniture, as well as tools, fresh food products and ready-made meals,” Vyacheslav Ivaschenko, Wildberries' Development Director, said.
Wildberries sellers can also use a combined delivery model for various categories of goods: some of them can be stored at the company's logistics centers, while the rest remain at their own facilities, delivered to Wildberries' distribution centers as orders from customers arrive.
The fulfillment by sellers model is available to both entrepreneurs who have already sold their products on Wildberries and to new suppliers.
